Hin»—Greig St. Mary's Church, New Plymouth, was fragrant with spring flowers •on Tuesday evening for the wedding of Avis Evelyn, third daughter of Mr, and Mrs. H. Greig, ‘‘Gienalmond,” New Plymouth, to Jack Malcolm, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Hine, New Plymouth. The ceremony was conducted by' the Rev. Fordham Clarke, and Mr. R. N. Renaud played the wedding music. The bride who was escorted by her father,-wore a rich gown of apricot silk velvet, made on classical lines, long flowing skirt, falling from a sleeveless bodice. The pale pink tulle veil formed a train, and she carried a bouquet of pink cyclamen, hyacinths and camellias. Her three bridesmaids, Misses Phyllis Greig, Mary Hine, and Elsie Rutherford, wore similar gowns of blue floral taffetas with touches of pink, made in a delight, fully simple style, with little hip flounces and a deep V decollete. A charming feature was the deep blue panne velvet cans with little side posies and pink rosebuds that were worn with niched velvet muffs of the same shade, which each carried. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Henry Weston as best man, and Mr. Campbell -Linwood and Mr. Harold Gregory as groomsmen. After the ceremony a reception was held by the bride’s parents -at their home, ‘‘Gienalmond,’’ Mrs. Greig wearing a petunia toilette of lace with coatee of georgette. The mother of the bridegroom, Mrs. Hine, wore a frock of wine-shaded satin beaute, with touches of beige, and carried a posy of pansies and cyclamen. Miss Alison Greig, sister of the bride, wore a frock of scarlet lace, with georgette coatee of the same shade. When the bride left for her noneymoon she wore a brown crepe de chine frock patterned in beige, light brown velour coat with collar and cuffs of fur, and a very smart, close-fitting brown felt hat For semi-sports wear, green la particularly good this season, specially In the light-weight woollens which hall from Paris., Agnes Samson, Customhouse Quay, suggests a willow green frock which has pleats to the skirt and a top of white crepella with enchanting appliques of green.
