Members of the Maanwatu Golf Club are steadily advancing in the customary competitions, the positions, In many Instances, having reached an Interesting Stage. The following are the results to date:— Club Championship.—First-round: O. H. williams beat C. L. G. Moore, one up. Middleweight Championship. — First round: B. M. Gibson beat A. M. Ongley; F. L. Bendall beat R. C. Abraham; R. A. Bennett beat Colonel J. H. Whyte. Junior Championship.—C. J. Hay beat W. H. Knight. B. and A. Cup>-Fourth round: F. Bendall beat L. Seifert, junr.; F. Cousins beat W. S. Long. Fifth round: F. Cousins beat F. Bondall. ' McLennan Cup.—Third round: J. F. Carter beat M. Loftus, and beat A. Seifert and R. J. Carter; R. G. Moore and E. V. Spear beat N. G. Ingham and N. H. Sinclair. Fourth round: R. G. Moore and E. V. Spear beat J. F. Carter and M. Loftus. Junior Championship.—The aggregates for those who qualified for the junior championship were: A. C. Anderson, 182; W. McGillivray, 192; G. I. McGregor, 193; Dr. McDowell, 194; G. H. Lusk, 195; B. J. Jacobs, 107; L. F. Speechley, 199; W. H. Knight, 202; C. Thompson. 202: H. C. Morgan. 202; W. 8. Long, 203; V. Goldfinch, 203; Rl H. Spencer, 205; J. F. Rodden, 205: M. N. Wallace, 206. Masterton Club Masterton, August 28. A bogey rose bowl competition played at the Lansdowne links . yesterday by 'women ' members of the Masterton Golf Club resulted as follows:—Mrs. G. Wll-r Hams (3), 1 down; Mrs. Drew (11). 2 down; Mrs. Dawson (19), 2 down; Miss Cruickshank (13), 3 down; Miss A. Donald (14), 5 down; Mrs. Irving (20). 5 down. Over 12 holes: Miss J. Cooper (24), all square. Eketahuna Club. The draw for the second round of the club championship and handicap sweepstake competition, to be played by members of t>e Eketahuna club, is as follows : Frederickson plays Murray; Minogue plays Nicholson; Prvde plays C.
