A BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

Mrs. Harold Webley was hostess at her home on Monday at an afternoon given in honour of the birthday of her mother, Mrs. Trevethick. There were many relatives and friends present, whom Mrs. Webley received in a frock of lemon floral ninon, with black velvet bridge coat. The guest °f honour was in amethyst crepe de chine and black fur coati Relatives present were Mrs. Mackie, a sister of Mrs. Trevethick, frbm Otaki, also Mrs. Burnley, Miss Trevethick, Miss Burnley, and the Misses Wood. Friends present included Mesdames Hollaed, Webley, Senr., Frethey, Foster, A. Jenness, Yates, Garlick, Stonehouse, Hall, Simpson, Eddie, Bock, Ayson, Johnson, and Misses Wilkins, Copeland, and Miss Macaskill.

On behalf of those present Mrs. Garlick congratulated Mrs. Trevethick on having attained another birthday, and tendered to her the best of good wishes Mrs. Trevethick made graceful acknowledgment. The birthday cake was handed round by Helen Webley, a small grandchild. Ping-pong was played, Miss E. Wood being the winner, with Mrs. Bock second. A very large bon-bon contained a souvenir for everyone.
