SURPRISE FOR SENATE
French Naval Programme UNUSUAL PROCEDURE Paris, July 3. After the Senate last night voted credit for building eight warships in 1931, the Minister of the Navy, M. Dumont, this afternoon surprisingly, almost secretly, tabled a Bill for another credit for four 7500-ton cruisers, one destroyer, and one torpedo boat to be built in 1932. For the first time in history there are two programmes for one year.
