British Effort in the Americas [FLOATING WAREHOUSE Official Wireless. Rugby, July 8. The steamer s.B. British Exhibitor, formerly the Leicestershire of the Blbby Line, is being reconditioned at Birkenhead for a year’s cruise to the West Indies and Central and South America to display and sell British manufactures. She will leave London on November 1. Lord Auckland will be in charge of the commercial expedition. On board will be a staff of trained salesmen and linguists. There will be room for some 500 separate exhibits on board and accommodation for 233 people, including members of the directorates of numerous firms. The itinerary will include Jamaica, Trinidad, and Cuba, and selected ports on the west coast of North America and Central America, and every port of consequence in South America. The venture has already received good support from various British industries.
