Several of the hockey games on(Saturday afternoon were marred by the bad state of the grounds, this ticularly' to the lower grounds at Karo-i Park Casualties were numerous, and, m a number of matches, there was an excess ’ of mishitting and overrunning the ball. The star game of the senior A grade was that between Karon and the former team winning by.l goal to nil, after a strenuous and exciting contest.
