Miss Lily Coppiestone, the New Zealand distance swimmer, is going to Dover on Tuesday to commence training for her Channel swim, but will not go to Cape Gris Nez until just before the attempt, as she dislikes training over the actual course.' Miss Copplestone intends to attack the Channel on August 1 or soon afterward, according to the tides. She does not expect to bo worried by the cold, as the water round New Zealand is five degrees colder than in the Channel. If she succeeds she will then make an attempt to cross from England.
