WHITE ARM BANDS
Soccer Players in Mourning All the Diamonds .Soccer teams turned out on Saturday wearing white arm bands on the black jerseys, a tribute to the memory of Mrs. Baker, one of the oldest supporters of the chib, who passed away on Saturday morning in the Wellington Hospital. On the previous Saturday she went to the Hutt Valley and saw her son score three goals in the intermediate game. Shortly afterward she collapsed, and remained unconscious until her death. The funeral will take place today. It is expected that most of the Diamonds intermediate team will attend.
