Mrs. G. W. Forbes, wife of the Primo Minister, arrived in Wellington yesterday morning from Christchurch. Sirs. H. Pearce, Wellington, is spending a .short holiday at Christchurch. *Alrs. J. Berryman, Wellington, is on a visit to Christchurch. Dr. and Mrs. W. H. Parkes, Auckland, have loft Wellington, en route to England. Mrs. 11. Nathan, Wellington, is on a Visit to Auckland. Mrs. Gillinghaig, Timaru, is on a holiday visit to Wellington. Miss Martha Myers, of Wellington, is staying with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Myers, Christchurch, Mrs. R. C. Pitt, Edgewnre Road, St. Albans, Christchurch, has returned from a visit to Wellington. Mrs. Algar Williams, pf Heretaunga, is staying with Mrs. George Gould at “Avonbank,” Fendalton. Miss Phyllis Francis, Rossall Street, Christchurch, has returned from a visit to friends in Wellington. Miss Naomi Whalley, Palmerston North, has arrived in Wellington for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Beresford Maunsell, Masterton, are the guests of Dady Beauchamp, Hobson Street, Wellington, Airs. Campbell-Heard, Wairarapa, who has been in Wellington for several months, expected to return homes to Masterton today* Miss Wood, Alalcolm Avenue, and Miss Nancy Nelson Wright, St. CI. -d’s Vicarage. Christchurch, left Wellington by the Manure for Sydney, Mr. and Mrs. Matthews, of Porirua, left by the Monowai on a three months’ holiday trip to Honolulu. Mrs. P. Holden, Gisborne, with her two small children, is visiting her parents, Air. and Airs. John O’Shea, Oriental Parade. The Bev, F. Rule and Mrs. Rule, of Christchurch, loft Auckland by the Alonowai to visit relatives in Imuisville, Kentucky, They expect to be away from New Zealand for a year. The Hon. AV. D. and Miss Downie Stewart are at present in their home in Heriot Row, Dunedin, and intend staying until they leave-for Wellington at the beginning of'the session. To celebrate the comlng-of-age of- Miss V. Sheftord, Airs. M. E. Morrison, Ellice Street, gave an enjoyable party recently, There were about twenty guests present, and dancing was indulged in until a late hour. The guest of honour -wore a black lace frock with diamante trimmings!
