SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY
The Wellington East College old girls, under the leadership of Miss White, were the hostesses at the Sailors' Friend Society on Tuesday evening. Many of the items, which were rendered with taste, were encored. Light refreshments were dispensed. The performers were: The Misses M. Stone, M. Windsor, L. Sturrock, F. Martin. V. Kennedy, D. Cunningham, and V. Stone. Miss L. Sturrock was at the piano. Mr. J. Moore, mlssioner, spoke on “At Last it Biteth." Further men signed the pledge.
Prizes for the competitions came from Masterton and went to the Port Hunter, Westmoreland, and Orari.
