PLUNKET, BRIDGE PARTY
The second bridge party recently held in the Hutt in aid of tho local Plunket Society was given by Mrs. Bishop on Thursday afternoon. The drawing-room was gay with sweet peas and hydrangeas, and sweet peas were the dainty decorations In the dining-room, where tea was served. Mrs. Bishop received the guests in a blue chenille georgette frock, while Miss T. Bishop was in floral satin. Miss Lynch, of Napier, who Is at present staying with Mrs. Bishop, wore black lace. The box of chocolates given by Mrs. Magnus as a prize for tho guessing competition was won by Mrs. Wiggins. The prize for gaining the nearest to the mystery score was won by Mrs. Robinson, while Mrs. Olphert gained the “booby” prize. Among the Wellington visitors were Mesdames T. R. Lawson. A. and H. Ackland, Geddes, Gray, Pryde, and Misses Enid Lawson and Joyce Gill. Two Day’s Bay guests were Mesdames Davidson and Nelson. Also present were Mesdames Bayne, Sherwood. Cooper, Magnus, Butt, Hayward, Hunt, Earnshaw, Chapman, Olphert, Godfrey, Gillespie, Gentry, Price, Helyer, Weir, Saunders. (Dr.) Nash, Cameron Owen* Aldred, Bakewell and Donald.
