INFORMATION WANTED i ~~~ By Telegraph—Press Association. Te Awamutn, May 7. A statement of the New Zealand Trotting Board that the Alexandra Racing Club’s fees had been unpaid, and suggesting the disqualification of the club officials and participants at the annual fixture on Boxing Day, is resented by the sportsmen concerned. The club's treasurer states that the money was paid last month, OFFICIAL STATEMENT Reply to Letters Wanted By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch. May 7. Referring to the Press Association message from Te Awamutu to-day concerning tlie Trotting Board and the Alexandra Racing Club, the secretary of the New Zealand Trotting Association states that the difficulty between the Trotting Association and the club did not concern payment of fee, but was due to the failure of' the club to reply to three letters in a period of some months requesting certain information. , The board decided that unless these letters were answered the clubs programme could not be approved, and if the chib raced without approval of the programme all concerned would, under the rules of trotting, be liable to disqualification.
