DUTY ON WHEAT
Big Reduction in Germany (Rec. May 7, 7.30 p.m.). Berlin, May 7. A Government decree has reduced the import duty on wheat from 250/to 200/- a ton. This will remain in force until June 15, and will be effective upon a quota equal to one-fifth of the total consumption in April and June. FREEDOM TO SELL Members of Winnipeg Pool (Rec. May 7, 7.30 p.m.). Ottawa, May 6. Winnipeg wheat pool members have been given the right to suspend their pool contracts and sell grain in the open market after June 1. By the decision of the board of directors, grain pooling has been placed on a voluntary basis.
