Increased Tax on Petrol
SUGAR DUTY; FILM LEVY
Dublin, May 6.
Mr. Ernest Blythe, Minister of Finance, in introducing the Budget, said that he expected accounts to balance for the third year In succession. The estimated expenditure was £25,253,000. Taxation proposals included 4d a gallon on petrol and increases of 2d a foot on sound films and id a pound sugar duty, and the abolition of the tax on racecourse betting.
