SURPRISE PARTY
Alins Kathleen Ferris'took a surprise party on Tuesday night to the house of Miss Unia Doherty, Kelburn, in honour of her approaching marriage. Each guest brought a gift, and a supper dish. Dancing took place in the drawing-room, which was beautifully decorated with autumn flowers. Airs. Doherty wore a frock- of black mariette. with a black bended bridge coat. Airs. Ferris was in a black satiii frock over which was worn a gold brocaded bridge coat, finished with black fur. ■ Miss K. Ferris wore a simple white satin frock, finished with a white bridge i-oat. edged with white fur. Aliss 11. Doherty wore a,black taffeta picture frock, appliqucd with coloured (lowers.
