REPLY FROM MINISTER
Dominion Special Service Palmerston North, May 7.
The Minister of Education, the Hon. H. Atmore, in replying to a telegram which was dispatched to him yesterday by Mr. J. A. Nash, M.P., in connection with the delay in carrying out repairs to the damaged Central School, intimates that a decision will shortly be made regarding the action to be taken in connection with the building. The Minister states that he is not prepared to make a decision until he has all the facts on hand. Reports had been received from the Wanganui Education Board’s architect and the Publjc Works Department, but it was deemed advisable to give the architect who designed the building'an opportunity of submitting a report thereon. This report was expected within the course of a day or two and then a decision would be arrived at and the necessary work put in hand. ,
