The Alasterton Stag Club held a very enjoyable ladies’ owning in the Knox , Hall on Tuesday evening.

A successful aid enjoyable euchre tournament and rance, the proceeds of which go to charily, was held under the auspices of the Str Vincent de Paul Society in St. Patricli’sHall, Masterton, on Tuesday night. The winners of tlie euclirc prizes were Mrs. Daly and Mt. J. Clune. The consolation prizes were won by Miss McMillen -and Mr. O’Connor. A concert was ..'given by girls of St. Matthew's Collegiite School, pupils of Mr. I’’, H. Taylor;(pianoforte), Mr. E.Larsen (violin) and Miss Coyla Cairns (A.T'C.L.) (elocutiin), on Tuesday afternoon. Those who tontribiited to the programme were: Nancy Carrick, Isobel Matthews, Barbara Irons. Mary Matthews, Nancy Drysdale, Gwen Rayner, Marion Falloon.
