OBITUARY
Mr. G. C. Addison Mr. George Campbell Addison, formerly Chief Industrial Magistrate, who died in Sydney last week at the age of 68 years, was a member of the first Rugby Union football team to represent New South Wales on a tour of New Zealand in 1882. Born in Sydney, Mr. Addison ■was the eldest son of the late Mr. G. W. F. Addison. Senior Stipendiary Magistrate, and a grandson of Lieuten-ant-Colonel Addison, eldest, collateral descendant of Joseph Addison, states ‘man, poet nnd essayist. He was admitted to the Bar in 1888. In 1912 be was appointed Chief Industrial Magistrate for New South Wales, and he retired from that position about two years ago. Mr. Addison was a member of the Australian Club, the University Club, the Australian Jockey Club and the Royal Sydney Golf Club. His youngest brother is Mr. Raymond C. Addison, resident inspector of the Bank of New South Wales in New Zealand. At the funeral was present, among many others. Mr G. W. Graham, who was also a mcmbei of the first New South Wales Rugby team to tour New Zealand.
