Heavy Casualties in 7 Eastern Europe SOVIET SENDING AID By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Rec. April 30, 8 p.m.) Moscow, April 29. Heavy casualties occurred in an earthquake affecting three Soviet districts in Nakhichevan and TransCaucasia. Many villages were wiped out. The Gueriussin district of Armenia was also affected and villages were badly damaged, with numerous casualties. Medical aid and food are being dispatched. The earthquake death-roll is at least 392. Tiflis was shaken, but there were no casualties. ' The Soviet has decreed that 2,000.000 roubles be sent to the Government of Trans-Caucasia to supplement local relief.
