Big Amalgamation Scheme BILL BEFORE ASSEMBLY (Rec. April 30, 10 p.m.). Sydney, April 30. In the Legislative Assembly, the Greater Sydney Bill was introduced. The scheme provides for the handing over of the Water and Sewerage Board, the Harbour Trust, .the Transport Trust, the National and other parks, and all public utilities, as well as the Sydney City Council to a Greater Sydney Council, to be composed of 23 Aidermen who would different wards. The result would be the union of small municipalities and their functions and obligations covering a huge suburban area.
