REFORM ACTIVITIES
Mrs. Coates at Maungaturoto Mrs. J. G. Coates, wife of the Leader of the Opposition, returned-to Wellington from the north last week after attending a most, successful meeting of the women’s auxiliary of the New Zealand Political Reform League at Maungaturoto. About 100 members were present, some of them travelling 30 miles to get there, and a great man}- new members joined. Mrs. Coates delivered an address which was greatly apreciatcd, after which Mrs. Harding also spoke. This auxiliary was only formed last February, with a riiembership of 120. At the conclusion of the meeting the members entertained Mrs. .Coates to supper.
