Parris-Higgs Amateur Bout The amateur featherweight boxing contest between W. Parris (Sst 101 b) and L. C. Higgs (Sst), at the Winter Show Stadium on Wednesday night was by far the best bout of the evening. The pace at which the lads moved, and the free manner in which they traded punches, aroused much enthusiasm. The decision was given as a draw. The display given by both lads showed that amateurs can be just as attractive in the ring as professionals, and often a great deal more entertaining.
