Earthquake, Fire or Flood CHRISTCHURCH PREPARES Dominion Special Service. , Christchurch, April 27. A comprehensive report dealing with the emergency measures that would be required in the event of a serious fire, flood or. earthquake in Christchurch, is being prepared by the Public Utilities Committee, and will probably be completed at an early date. The report is being dealt with in sections, and the committee held a meeting on Friday to discuss the steps considered to be necessary ' In the case of an earthquake disaster.'* .t». The committee consists of representa- * tires of all the Government departments and public bodies in Christchurch which —have control of public utilities, and its aim is to ensure co-operation in dealing with such matters.
