PLUNKET SOCIETY

Kelburn Sub-committee The anual meeting of the Kelburul subcommittee of the Royal New Zealand Society for the Health of 'Women • and Children took place recently. Apologies were received from Mesdames Jolly. Blundell, Dinnie, Halligan,- Miller, and Cauglily. Mrs. Tythe-Brown. gave an interesting •address on the progress of the Plunket work during the past twenty years. The annual report stated that during the year the work had been steadily maintained, as indicated by the extracts from the IMunkot nurses’ report. There were several successful efforts during the year to raise funds, the sum of £127/14/6 being paid to the committee. Activities this year were confined to two nances held in the Kelburn Kiosk, which realised £56/IQ/-. Mrs.: Moygait, of Moana Road, apd party, sent A large box of babies’ woollies, which sold; readily, and £5/7/6 was added to the funds. A penguin knitted and by Mrs. Zander was raffled, and £2/10/- was raised. It is pleasing to know that so many of the Kelburn residents are interested in the work of the sub-committee, there being 130 subscribers, which added over £63 to the funds.
