RUSSIAN DUMPING
Britain’s Traders Warned (“Times” Cables) (Rec. April 26, 5.5 p.m.) London, April 24. “Well-equipped workshops are springing up throughout Russia’, their output is increasing in a startling manner, and the Reds are ready to raid world markets,” said Sir J. Sandeman Allen, M.P., in addressing the Associated Chambers of Commerce. Russia’s new methods of marketing constituted a serious attack on the commercial system, he said. Goods were to be sold at from 25 to 60 per cent, below the possible cost of production in Britain. The executive of the Associated Chambers has been instructed to study the position and consider measures to counteract the Russian proposal.
