A bomb thrown into a house on Friday night fell beside a chair in which an English woman was sitting. The fuse was alight, but was extinguished when the bomb fell on the floor. The bomb was similar to those used in the Bengal revolutionary activities of last year. A sceond bomb of a more deadly type, with its fuse half-burned, was found on the lawn at the Calcutta Golf Club pavilion In the centre of the city this morning. One arrest;was made. CURFEW ENFORCED Strict Measure in Bengal ARRIVAL OF 400 TROOPS (Rec. April 26, 5.5 p.m.) Delhi, April 24. In Chittagong, which is the centre of the revolutionary activity in Eastern Bengal, the district magistrate has placed certain areas under the Curfew order and has banned public meetings and processions. Four hundred troops have arrived in town. CAUSE OF RIOTING Congress Tyranny Blamed (Ree. April 26, 5.5 p.m.) Delhi, April 24. At an inquiry into the Cawnpore communal riots, Mr. Ryan, secretary of the Upper India Chamber of Commerce, declared that the immediate cause was Congress tyranny in compelling the Moslems to close their shops. At Zion City, Illinois, Wilbur Slenn Voliva, who stated that he was resigning from the active control of Zion City and the Christian Catholic Apostolic Church to spend the remainder of his life in the spreading of its doctrines throughout the world, told reporters: "Recent reports that I was dying were false. I shall not die until 1976 —at the age of 106. “I merely scalded myself while bathing. I was a silly fool to scald myself, and will never go near a bathtub again as long as I live.” Voliva, one of whoso beliefs is that the world is flat, is the successor to John Alexander Dowie, founder of the “Christian Catholic Apostolic Church in Zion," who died in 1907 after showing signs of insanity. Dowie was born in Edinburgh and went to Australia when a boy. After studying for the ministry he became imbued with the idea of faith-healing, and founded “The Divine Healing Association of Australia and New Zealand.” In 1896 he established his sect in the United States by founding “Zion City” on a site of ten square miles on the western shore of Lake Michigan.
