MEETING CANCELLED
Auckland Trotting Club TROUBLE OVER DATES Dominion Special Service. Auckland, March 19. The earthquake relief funds have suffered the loss of probably £6OOO owing to the Auckland Trotting Club being compelled to cancel its relief meeting, a permit for which had already been granted by the Government. The dates arranged, April 27 and 29, were vetoed by the Trotting Conference, following a protest from the Cambridge Trotting Club, which holds a meeting on May 2. Not only the Auckland Trotting Club but every trainer and owner failed to see eye to eye with the Cambridge Club, but in view of the conference decision the Auckland'Club is powerless in the matter.
