TEMPORARY BUILDINGS
Divergent Views in Council Applications for permission to erect temporary buildings in the cib were discussed at last evening’s meeting of the City Council, and councillors were fairly evenly divided in their views. Several contended that the policy of permitting buildings to he erected that did not, in the ordinary sense, comply with the by-laws, was a dangerous one, and others were inclined to think that under the present circumstances any project that promised to give employment should receive favourable consideration.
