Kirk-Windeyer Cup HORTON NOT AVAILABLE T. H. Horton, of Masterton, has informed the New Zealand Golf Association that he will not be available for selection ill the team which is to compete for the Kirk-Windeyer Cup in Aus tralia this season. It is probable that a special meeting of the council will be held this month to further consider the selection of a team. Horton’s defection will weaken the New Zealand team’s chances of retaining the trophy, as the Masterton man for some years past has been among the foremost players in the Dominion. He played No. 1 for New Zealand at Christchurch last season, when the New Zealand team eliminated Victoria, and then went on to wrest the Kirk-AVinileyer Cup from New South Wales.
