UMPIRES The annual match between the Press and the Umpires will be played on the Basin Reserve on Saturday next. This ma'tch always creates a good deal of interest, and serves to resurrect some players who were once in tlie very first flight. The following players will represent the Umpires:—D. L. Burns, H. Scatouu, Lyall Bay. JUNIOR COMPETITIONS How Championships Stand Although there are two unfinished games. Institute has won the junior A competition. The team has averaged 300 runs per innings throughout the season. The junior B competition was played in two sections, the winners of each section to play for the B championship. Hospital heads the Bl section, and Midland the B2 section.. These teams ivill play oil for the B championship, commencing on Saturday next at Anderson Park, No. 2. Junior C was won by Stop Out. Junior D was won by Seatoun. Other Grade Fixtures. Tlie following are the fixtures and grounds for other grades for their games on Saturday:— Third Grade Championship.—Seatoun B r. Kaiwarra B, on Kelburn No. 4. Midland v. University, junior A, Kelburn No. 1. The Kilbirnie v. Karori junior A unfinished game will not be played; each team will receive four points for no decision on the first Innings. Town v. Hutt Valley. The third grade match, Town v. Hutt Valley, will be played on Anderson Park No. 1 on March 21 and 28. Juniors v. Mercantile Le<igue. The annual match between the junior representatives and the Mercantile League will be played on March 21 and 28. Secondary Schools.
