Another Levin Meeting A big cycling meeting to be promoted by the Wellington Centre of the New Zealand Union of Cyclists will lie held at the .Levin Park Domain on Saturday tiex t. At a recent meeting held in aid of the earthquake relief fund a sum of £lO was taken. The Wellington Centre is !to be congratulated on its efforts to establish once more in Levin interest in cycling, and on tlie manner in which the meeting was conducted. This' next cycling meeting promises to be better than the first. A half-mile attempt will be made by J. Foote and 8. B. Roberts. Jack Foote is one of the most outstanding cyclists to be seen iu Wellington this season, and given good conditions the half-mile record should be bettered. 'The secretary, Mr. E. Staveley. will receive all entries from those intending to compete not later than to-day (Thursday). Milo Minto was defeated by only half a length. He is worth noting for future guidance. On the Up Grade. The imported horse Our George is showing improved form, and he should secure winning brackets before the season draws to a close. He went 2.49 when he finished second to Real Girl on Saturday. Doing Well. Stanley T. is reported to be training on satisfactorily, and it Is anticipated that he will be at the top of his form at Easter time. Author Jinks, who has been spelling ever since the New Zealand Cup meeting, is expected to rejoin J. Young’s team at an early date. The American-bred stallion Real Guy, who has been at the stud for several years, has been put into work again by A. Hendricksen. Real Guy will probably be seen out in the two miles trotting event at Cheviot. Among his progeny are winners in Real Girl, Realty, Caballero, Lough Guy, Robert Guy, Some Guy, Little Guy, and Welcome Guy.
