CAR LEAVES ROAD

Three Occupants Injured SMASH IN TAITA GORGE Returning from the Trentham racecourse on Saturday evening, a motor-car went off the road in the Taita Gorge and crashed into the bank. The three occupants of the car were taken to the Wellington Hospital by the Free Ambulance. They were B. Stewart, t'tie driver of the car, 64 Bouleott Street, a compositor, head injuries; B. Moonej, c/o “New Zealand Free Lance,” a storeman, injuries to head, neck and legs; — Gillanders, head injuries. The car was very badly damaged. Mr. Stewart left the hospital after having his injuries attended to, and the others were stated last night to be progressing satisfactorily.
