In appearance It rather resembles an ordinary watch, and is either carried in a waistcoat pocket, or else suspended from the clothing in much the same way that ladles’ watches were worn 20 years ago. (3) About 150 feet, owing to the pressure of the water. In the deepest parts of the ocean, the pressure is over five tons to the square inch. (4) No; but an electric motor is employed for winding it up. (5) One of the chief properties of n gas is its expansibility and tendency continually to assume a greatei volume.
