Masterton, Marell 13. A resolution expressing appreciation of what Mr. J. N. McLean has done in organising the poultrykeepers of the Walrarapa was passed at a general meeting of members of the Walrarapa branch of the New Zealand Poultry Association. Regret was expressed, at Mr. McLean’s impending departure from the district.
In ackpowledging the tribute paid to him, Mr. McLean urged that once a quarter arrangements should be made for a lecture on some phase of poultry keeping, to be followed by questions and discussion. The association mlghffbe made In this way to serve a very valuable educational purpose.
Mr. McLean will attend the Dominion conference of poultrymen at Auckland as one of the delegates from the Wellington district.
