SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY

Mr. E. T. Lawrenee was host for his seafaring guests on Tuesday, when the events of the evening at the Sailors’ Friend Society sped along merrily. The performers were Mesdames E. Hilton and Matthews, and Misses P. Hilton, K Hilton, and Messrs. S. Brewer, T. Dunn, R. Hilton, E. T. Lawrence, Potter, Anderson. Fine work was done by an orchestra. Mrs. Hilton was pianiste. Mr. J. Moore, missioner, spoke on “All Conditions,” in relation to temperance. Prizes for. the competitions came from Mrs. Blair, and were won by the ships in port. . ■
