SYNAGOGUE WEDDING

Spolsky—Green The marriage took place last night at the Synagogue, Wellington, of Ellen, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Green, Wellington, and Abe Spolsky, of Wellington. Mr. Isaac Van officiated. The Synagogue was beautifully decorated by the Judean Girl Guides, of whom the bride is captain. Mr. and Mrs., Mark Green gave their daughter away, and Mr. Spolsky was given away by Mr. Joe Spolsky and Mrs. M. Spitz (Auckland). The bride wore a frock of ivory marietta made in an old-world fashion with frills to the ankles. Her veil of rose point lace hung in long folds to the edge of the frock. Her flowers were roses in pale shades. The three bridesmaids—chief Miss Peggy Hollander (Christchurch), Miss Martha Myers, and Miss Esther Jackson—were dressed alike in long sea-green georgette frocks, big green crinoline hats and satin shoes. Their flowers were pink roses. A flower girl and page followed in the train. Sonia 'Meltzer in a long green organdie frock and basket of roses, and Bennie Schneideman in a Scarlet Pimpernel suit of green and white satin. The best man was Mr. Ben Green and the groomsmen were Mr. Jules Newton, Napier,- and Mr. Hynam Spolsky. The canopy-bearers were Maurice Pitkowsky and Myer Morris. Mrs. M. Green wore a model frock of apricot lace and blaek georgette with a black panne velvet coat and ermine collar. A large black Bangkok straw hat was worn. Mrs. M. Splta wore a. frock of white heavy marocain and - a French black hat. After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Green entertained about three hundred guests at the Adelphi Cabaret.
