SCHNEIDER CUP RACE

Prime Minister Doubtful

WILL HEAR DEPUTATION

(Rec. January 27, 5.5 p.m.)

British Wireless. Rugby, January 26. In the House of Commons the Prime Minister, Mr. Ramsay MacDonald, expressed his willingness to receive a deputation on the subject of the Government decision not to enter an official team for the Schneider Cup race, but doubted if it would serve much purpose now.

Personally he was keenly interested in the matter. He claimed that, as the Governmnet decision was known 15 months ago, the Governmetn were not to blame if there was no British entry.
