Bread ready cut into slices and wrapped up is the latest “labour-saving” idea. A machine which cuts slices of any thickneps was recently exhibited in London. In her 89th year, Mrs. Anne Mitchell, of Freshwater, Isle of Wight, has 130 living descendants —eight children, fifty grandchildren, and seventy-two greatgrandchildren.
