THEFT FROM A CAR
Valueless Cheque Issued
By Telegraph—Press Association. Tc Aroha, January 20. Godfrey Frederick William Guy Barfield, on charges of issuing a valueless cheque for £6/10/-, and of stealing a suitcase with its contents from a car at Te Aroha, was convicted by Justices of the Peace to-day and sentenced to three months’ imprisonment on each charge, the sentences to be concurrent. On four other charges of theft, he was convicted and placed on probation for two years, and ordered to make restitution.
