Government Payment Proposed

In order to have the question of copyright fees brought to a satisfactory conclusion enabling B stations to come on the air again, the New Zealand Radio Listeners’ League Executive has decided to ask the Government to undertake the payment, from listeners’ fees, of a sum to be agreed on by the Postal Department and the Performing Rights Association, payment to be made in satisfaction of the association’s demands until the expiry of the license for transmission at present held by the Broadcasting Company of New Zealand.
