North Canterbury Runs VALUATIONS REDUCED By Telegraph.—Pre«f Association. Christchurch, December 9. Ike Assessment Court gave judgment to-day in three cases of objections raised by North Canterbury runholders against the Government valuations of their properties. In each judgment a substantial reduction was made, tjie total reduction being £12,020. Following arc comparisons :— Property at Lowry Peaks, owned by George Ranald Macdonald. Old valuations: Capital, £41,255; unimproved, £31,500; improvements, £9755. New valuations: £33,000, £23,000 and £lO.OOO. Owner’s own valuations: £30,840, £19,280, and £11,560. Property at Mount Cass, D. W. J. Gould. Old valuations: £14,230, £9710, and £4520. New valuations: £12,250, £7730, and £4520. Owner’s valuations; £10,440, £5040. and £5400. Property, IW2 acres, owned by D’Arcy Carrington Gardiner. Old valuations; £13,285, £9270, and £4015. New valuations : £11,500, £7485, and £4015. Owner's valuations: £11,250, £6250 and £5OOO.
