Miss Cecily Gunter, of Wellington, is spending a holiday in Palmerston North with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H, E. Gunter, of Church'Street. Miss Rons Woodward, Palmerston North, has been the guest of honour at ,several parties given in view of her approaching marriage. Mrs. ,G. E. il-lag-gitt gave a bridge party on Monday afternoon, and each guest brought . some article, for the bridge table for the new home. Miss Woodward received many novel gifts. ■ Miss Margaret Johnston, of “Kamapo," Cheltenham, gave a bridge party on Thursday afternoon for Miss Bee Dermer, who has just returned from a trip abroad.
