HAND SHATTERED
Explosion in Quarry An explosion which occurred at the Paekakariki Quarry yesterday morning had serious consequences for one of the men working there. The unfortunate man was J. W. Tipenc, a labourer, 57, who had his hand badly shattered. .... . The Paraparaumu district nurse attended to the injured man, and he was put aboard the train, where he was met by the Free Ambulance shortly atter J.U a.m. and conveyed to Wellington Hospital.
