Police Recapture Four STIFF FIGHT PUT UP New York, December 7. Four of the six criminal maniacs who escaped from a mental hospital last week were recaptured in an apartment where they were being harboured tn the sweetheart of one of them. De tectives fought for 20 minutes before they overcame the madmen, two )f whom were armed. The others are still missing.
A message on Friday announced that si men—the most violent of _ the criminal insane, imprisoned in a State institution at Matteawan (Duchess County) near New York, including murderers and two dangerous pyromaniacs—escaped and were in New lork.
