SCOTTISH WORKERS Agreement at Meetings By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright. (Rec. December 8, 9 p.m.) London, December 8. The men at the Scottish collieries resumed work after meetings had been held in the chief areas, Midlothian and Haddingtonshire. An earlier message stated it was taken for granted that at to-day’s Glasgow Conference of the Joint Conciliation Board, representative of the owners and the miners, an agreement would be reached under which work will be resumed in the Scottish coalfields on'Monday.
