Final Hop From Java WAITING FOR SPARES (Rec. December 8, 9 p.m.) Weltevreden (Batavia), Dec. 8. The aviator Cedric Hill, having received from Australia spare parts to repair his aeroplane, and a foldingboat from Air Commodore Kingsford Smith, expects to leave Java, for Australia to-day.
Flight-Lieutenant Hill was forced down during a neck-and-neck race with AirCommodore Kingsford Smith from England to Australia.
