Wanganui Meeting VISIT FROM WELLINGTON Dominion Special Service. Wanganui, December 7. The annual athletic fixture between Wellington and Wanganui took place on Cook’s Gardens on Saturday night, under fdeal conditions. There was a large attendance, and the interest of the crowd was held by several close contests. The gathering was admirably conducted, and the whole programme was got off strictly to schedule. The Wellington contestants were well to the fore, and gave a good account of themselves. C. Jenkins, M. Gane, and S. CYCLING AND RUNNING Good Times at Christchurch COMBINED CLUBS’ SPORTS Dominion Special Service. Christchurch, December 7. The annual meeting of the combined amateur athletic clubs of Christchurch was held at Papanui Domain In splendid weather. The track was in excellent order and good times were recorded. Results are as follow:— Half-mile Cycle Handicap.—Final: Neely, 80yds„ 1; Hands, 110yds., 2; Basher, 50yds., 3. Neely finished very strongly, winning by two lengths.
