Famous Attorney’s Daughter
Mrs. Fraser, widow of the late Mr. J. F. M. Fraser, K.C., Dunedin, will arrive in Wellington by the Makura on December 15 and intends to take up her residence again in the Dominion. Mrs. Fraser is closely connected with pioneer families of the Dominion and Australia. Mr. Fraser, K.C., who died in 1915, was a son of the late Hon. Captain T. A. Fraser, who who elected in 1860 member of the House of Representatives for the constituency of Waikouaiti. and at the time of his death was a member of the Legislative Council. Mrs. Fraser herself is a daughter of the late Mr. Richard D. Ireland, Q.C., of Melbourne, who took part in the defence of the Eureka Stockade notables. Mr, Ireland with his family arrived in Melbourne in 1853 and was for some years Attorney-General of Victoria. Mrs. Fraser will be the guest of her son, Mr. T. A. Fraser, during her stay in Wellington, prior to going on to Dunedin.
