The death occurred during the weekend of Mrs. Marjory Kennedy Fraser, aged 73, well known for her collections, of Hibernian music. Her researches led to the discovery of many of Scotland’s lost folk tunes. Mrs. Kennedy Fraser was noted in both England and Scotland for her unique recitals, at which the lesser-known folksongs of the British Isles were delightfully interpreted. “She has the proper magis," wrote “The Times" recently. “She is quite irresistible: She can almost create the small of the heat-smoke. in Queen’s Hall with ‘The Crone's Creel.’", The late Mrs. Kennedy Fraser also has made a number of gramophone recordings.
