RAILWAY RETIREMENT
Mr. J. W. Reay Completes • Service After thirty-six rears in the railway service. Mr. J. W. Reay, assistant district traffic manager, Wellington, has retired. Mr. Reay joined the service, as a cadet in Wellington in 1884. and was subsequently stationed at lavercnrgill. ■ Eketahuna. Gisborne. Wanganui. Auckland. Unner Hutt, and Fordcll. He was appointed to the position of chief district traffic manager’s office. Greymouth, tn June. 1924. and to a similar nosition in Invercargill in Anril. 1927 Mr Rear was mnile assistant traffic ,ninnnger Wellington, in .'larch 1928 which position he filled until the completion of his noriod of service oh November 22. Prior to his departnri- Mr. Reay was met by members of the office staff and presented with some handsome tokens of the esteem ijj which he was held by ius colleagues, . >
